Description

Martin Mills 24 Year Old 107 Proof 1974

Barreled in 1974, bottled in February 1999, Japanese import sticker adhered over back label where bottle # and date appear, front and back labels very slightly worn, original carton slightly worn

It was the late 1990s, and the Heaven Hill Distillery had a problem that seems almost unimaginable today: it had too much great, extra-aged whiskey. The company knew it was amazing, but no one in the United States seemed to want it. For years Heaven Hill had been selling it to independent bottlers like Willett, blending it into younger whiskey, or selling it to Japan, where there was still a taste for rich, older bourbon and rye. In 1999 the company released one of its oldest whiskeys ever, Martin Mills, solely for the export market. Almost impossible to find in the United States, it has since achieved mythic status as one of the richest, most flavorful bourbons every produced.

1 bottle 75cl (no original packaging)
