This England National Team jersey was worn by Stuart Pearce on July 4, 1990, when England faced West Germany in the FIFA World Cup Semifinal in Stadio delle Alpi in Turin, Italy. The match was extremely tight and is still regarded as one of England's finest World Cup performances despite the result. West Germany took the lead through a deflected free kick from Andreas Brehme in the 60th minute, but Gary Lineker equalized ten minutes from time to make it 1–1. The score remained level through extra time. The match went to penalty kicks, where England ultimately fell to West Germany 4-3.

Few players embodied the spirit and determination of English football quite like Stuart Pearce. Nicknamed “Psycho” for his uncompromising style of play, Pearce was one of the emotional leaders of England's celebrated 1990 FIFA World Cup squad, a team that produced the nation's deepest World Cup run since its triumph in 1966.

Operating from left-back under manager Bobby Robson, Pearce combined relentless defensive intensity with a willingness to push forward in attack, becoming an integral figure throughout England's journey to the semi-finals. His performances helped England navigate a challenging tournament that included victories over Belgium and Cameroon, the latter secured through David Platt's dramatic extra-time winner in the quarter-finals.
