This landscape of a flower-filled meadow opening onto a panoramic view is characteristic of the art of Albert Kunze. Trained in Leipzig, he worked as a draftsman and lithographer in Germany and Italy, and went on to pursue a career as a landscape painter, adopting, as seen here, a vision rooted in the German Romantic tradition.
