The colorway takes its name from the celebration that followed one of the most iconic games in Finals history. On June 17, 2010, Bryant led the Lakers to an 83-79 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, recording 23 points and 15 rebounds to secure his fifth championship and his second consecutive Finals MVP award. It marked the first time the Lakers had defeated the Celtics in a Game 7, following four previous losses in winner-take-all Finals matchups. The "Parade" sample was produced in the weeks that followed, its white and gold palette a direct reference to the championship hardware Bryant had just claimed.
