Sotheby’s is proud to present this white Atlanta Hawks jersey worn by Dominique Wilkins during the 1992-1993 NBA season. This jersey was additionally matched by PSA to a game from the 1993-1994 season. This was worn by Wilkins on January 19, 1994 when the Hawks played the Golden State Warriors.

Wilkins finished with 39 points, 7 rebounds, and 1 assist. The Hawks lost to the Warriors, 120-119.

By this stage of his career, Wilkins had already established himself as one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history and the centerpiece of the Hawks franchise throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. Known as “The Human Highlight Film,” he entered the 1992–93 season following a devastating Achilles injury suffered the previous year, an injury that threatened to alter the trajectory of his career.

Despite the setback, Wilkins returned to the court and immediately reasserted his scoring ability. He continued to attack defenses with his trademark combination of athleticism, strength, and creativity, serving as the focal point of Atlanta’s offense throughout the season. Less than two years removed from a devastating Achilles injury that many believed would diminish his effectiveness, he averaged 26.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while earning his ninth All-Star selection. He remained one of the NBA’s premier scorers, finishing among the league leaders in total points despite being traded midseason from the Atlanta Hawks to the Los Angeles Clippers. His remarkable production and resilience earned him All-NBA Third Team honors, further cementing his legacy as one of the most dynamic and consistent offensive forces of the 1990s.
