CM117 Forward Tunnell Pressure Hatch, mixed materials, North American Rockwell Corporation for NASA, November 18, 1971, concave disc being 30-inches diameter x 10 inches deep, Convex side with black-coated insulation layer over metal structure, central mount with latex bushing at center; concave side covered with Kapton Foil, two labels: “TOOL B / UNLATCH” and center label: “PRESSURE EQUALIZATION VALVE / CLOSE / OPEN,” “117” written with chalk on concave side, Part number V36-326601-905, serial number 06362AAJ0966, blank painted insulation part number V36-326402-5 / LCD3131, with custom wooden stand. Some loss to Kapton Foil revealing honeycomb structure of ablator layer, a few areas of black coating rubbed.
