Large color photograph, 20 x 16 inches, SIGNED and INSCRIBED by Lunar Module Pilot ALAN BEAN in silver ink: “Here I am on the Ocean / of Storms photographing / the engine bell for possible/ damage. The footprints are / Pete’s as he went behind the / LM and photographed me. / It was a great (?) adventure! / Alan Bean / Apollo 12 LMP.”

Alan Bean was the fourth person to walk on the moon as part of the second mission to land humans on the lunar surface. While the Apollo 11 astronauts spent only around two and a half hours walking on the Moon, the Apollo 12 astronauts spent nearly seven and a half, during which they deployed an improved Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package to run tests not possible during Apollo 11.
