Description
12 x 12 in. folded (24 x 12 in. unfolded). The Joshua Tree vinyl insert signed by U2. Black-and-white landscape poster of the band on recto and lyrics on verso. Signed by Bono in blue felt tip pen, the Edge and Larry Mullen Jr. in black felt tip pen, and Adam Clayton in green felt tip pen.
Good condition, with small crease at upper left corner and minor rippling visible on right side of verso.
The Joshua Tree, U2’s fifth album, sees the band pushing forward with tighter, more concise writing with the same impassioned plea. The romance of “With Or Without You,” the gospel of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For,” the Hendrix-like psychedelic on “Bullet The Blue Sky;” each showcase the band’s expanding range. Since its release, Joshua Tree is regarded as one of the great rock works of all time.
The present item was signed by U2 in 1987 as part of a surprise signing session the night of the album’s release, hosted at Makin’ Tracks, a record store in Belfast, Ireland, that has since closed. Together with clipping of newspaper article about the event, as well as the original owner’s receipt and queue number ticket from said signing.
