Frank Stella: Polar Co-ordinates for Ronnie Peterson, The Museum of Modern Art, New York, November 18, 1982–January 11, 1983, organized by Riva Castleman. This unique trial proof impression was included in The Museum of Modern Art exhibition that showcased 33 Frank Stella preparatory drawings, trial proofs, working proofs and limited edition prints. 


In 1981–1982, this unique trial proof was also exhibited at the following institutions in a traveling exhibition:
