When the film was first released in 1961 the US one sheet poster showed Paul Newman and Piper Laurie in an embrace, which did not have much to do with the film. However, when the film was re-released in 1966, a new more fitting poster was designed.
This classic 1960s pool hustling film was directed by Robert Rosse, and stars Paul Newman as 'Fast' Eddie and Jackie Gleason as Minnesota Fats, together with Piper Laurie as Sarah.
