Théâtre d’Ombres (1897)

This exceptionally rare and important poster from the late 19th century was designed by George Redon for the Chinese shadows theatre in Paris. Georges Melies played shadows in this theatre before he started making films a few years later. An example of this poster can be found in the Les Musee Carnavalet, Paris.
