oil on paper, laid to canvas

unframed: 15.3 x 42 cm.; 6 x 16½ in.

framed: 22.2 x 49 cm.; 8¾ x 19¼ in.

Preparatory oil sketches by Everdingen are thus far unknown; and recorded oil on paper works by the artist are more highly refined. However, the view depicted in this oil sketch correlates very closely to at least two paintings by Allart van Everdingen.1
