Francesco de Larderel, Conte di Montecerboli (1789–1858), Palazzo Larderel, Livorno, recorded in his posthumous inventory of 1858 as in the Gran Galleria, no. 88, valued at 1000 Lire toscane (as 'Sacra Famiglia – Sandro Botticelli');

Thence by inheritance and descent to his granddaughter Blanche de Larderel (1856–1942), probably at the Palazzo Larderel, Via Tornabuoni, Florence;

Thence possibly by inheritance to her daughter Maria Bianca de Larderel-Viviani della Robbia (1884–1971), until circa 1946;

Private collection, until circa 1950, when bequeathed to a Charitable Institution;

From whom acquired by the present owner in 2004.
