This is Yang Hansen’s Nameplate from the 2026 NBA All-Star Weekend.

Yang Hansen represented Team Austin in the 2026 Castrol Rising Stars Game on February 13, 2026, where his team fell to Team Melo 40-34 in the semifinal.

Yang Hansen was drafted as the 16th pick in the 1st round of the 2025 NBA Draft. At the time of cataloging, he has career averages of 2.2 points per game, 1.5 rebounds per game, and 0.6 assists per game. The draft of Hansen caused excitement amongst NBA audiences and the international fans, becoming the first Chinese player to be drafted in the first round since 2007. Quickly his stardom rose and he began to earn the nickname the “Chinese Jokic.”

Hansen comes out of the Chinese professional ranks, where he played for the Qingdao Eagles in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA). In the 2024–25 season, he averaged 16.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 2.7 blocks per game, while shooting nearly 60% from the field. Prior to that, he made headlines at the 2023 FIBA U19 World Cup, where he posted 12.6 points, 10.4 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 5.0 blocks per game, earning All-Second Team honors.

With a massive 7’1” frame, 249-pound build, and a 7’5.25” wingspan, Yang Hansen offers elite size and length for a modern NBA center. His mobility and passing touch at that size have drawn attention from scouts around the world, showcasing a unique blend of physical dominance and on-court awareness.

He is a two-time CBA All-Star, CBA Defensive Player of the Year (2024), and two-time All-CBA Domestic First Team honoree. He was also named to the U18 Asia Cup All-Tournament Team and the U19 World Cup All-Second Team for his standout international performances.
