Haywood Highsmith went undrafted out of Wheeling University and signed his first NBA contract with the Philadelphia 76ers in January 2019. After spending time in the G League, he found a home with the Miami Heat, developing into a dependable 3-and-D wing over four seasons from 2021 to 2025. He was traded to the Brooklyn Nets prior to the 2025-26 season, before being waived in February 2026 and signing with the Phoenix Suns. Known as ‘The Locksmith’, Highsmith brings physicality and perimeter shooting to Phoenix’s roster.
