From Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Thomas was a top-eleven recruit nationally per ESPN in the 2025 class. 

He is known for a quick, high release, a confident movement shooting profile, and a non-stop motor on both ends. His offensive game translates well as an off-ball scoring guard who spaces the floor and attacks closeouts. He opted not to participate in combine scrimmages while evaluating a potential return to Arkansas. Projecting as an immediate floor-spacer with secondary creation ability and starter upside, Thomas is considered a mid-to-late first-round candidate.
