Experience four decades of the legendary Bella Oaks Vineyard, one of Napa Valley’s earliest single-vineyard Cabernet sources. The wine-growing history of this Rutherford Bench property dates back to the 1860s, but its exceptional modern era began in 1976 when Joe Heitz produced the first bottling of Heitz Bella Oaks Vineyard. A longtime friend of property owners Belle and Barney Rhodes, Joe continued this bottling for nearly 40 years while Belle and Barney became some of the first unofficial Napa Valley ambassadors.

Current proprietress Suzanne Deal Booth acquired Bella Oaks in 2010 and produced the first official estate bottling in 2017. As the founder of The Friends of Heritage Preservation (FOHP), a unique arts group focused on the preservation of endangered cultural heritage, Deal Booth has held preservation of this storied land at the forefront of her vision while also breathing new life into the project. Her vision comprises a holistic focus on organic and biodynamic farming, a thoughtful emphasis on biodiversity and the seamless integration of wine, art, community and culture. Like the more than 70 cultural heritage projects she has supported across five continents, in Bella Oaks, Deal Booth seeks to preserve, restore and invigorate, shepherding the past carefully and with joy into the future.

The wines of Bella Oaks, crafted by the talented team of winemaker Nigel Kinsman and consultant the late Michel Rolland (vintages 2017-2025), have grown quick adoration by consumers and critics alike. The 2026 harvest marks the 50th for this storied vineyard.
