No yellow glass dishes from the Yongzheng period appear to be recorded in the collections of either the Palace Museum, Beijin or Taipei. A comprehensive review of the archives of the Imperial Household Department (Neiwufu) for the Yongzheng reign reveals only a single entry, dated to the 25th day of the eighth month of the third year of Yongzheng:
"Laxi, Minister of the Imperial Presence and Lieutenant-General under Prince Guo, presented... two yellow glass dishes... By imperial decree, they are to be fitted into wooden boxes and bestowed upon the lamas."
This indicates that such vessels were produced in strictly limited quantities, primarily intended as imperial gifts; see Qinggong Neiwufu Zaobanchu dang'an zonghui [Comprehensive collection of archives from the Imperial Household Department workshops of the Qing court], Beijing, 2005, p. 429.
For the only known comparable example, see a closely related Qianlong period dish in the Palace Museum, Beijing, which retains the stylistic legacy of the Yongzheng period in both form and colour, illustrated in Zhang Rong, ed., Lustre of Autumn Water: Glass of the Qing Imperial Workshop, Beijing, 2005, pl. 38.
