Conceived circa 1880-1890; this example cast by Griffoul & Large, Paris circa 1894. The present work is from an edition of 5 unnumbered examples.
This work will be included in the forthcoming Catalogue Critique de l'œuvre sculpté d'Auguste Rodin being currently prepared by Galerie Brame & Lorenceau under the direction of Jérôme Le Blay under the archive number 2023-7026B.
