 Six French Silver Wine Cups, Bordeaux, 17th-18th Century


first, maker's mark DT attributed to David Tostee of Bordeaux, the foot engraved SI TENNE DESIRE 1661, scratched underneath AM, maker's mark only outside below rim;


The second by Gervais Lafitte, the Elder, Bordeaux, mid 18th century, engraved PM, marked outside below rim.


The third, maker's mark G? probably for Gabriel Carriere, Bordeaux, 1727-28, engraved PR under the rim, marked on outside below rim.


The fourth by Gabriel Carriere, Bordeaux, 1722-23, marked on outside below rim with maker, part town mark, other marks unclear.


The fifth one attributed to Jacques Georgeon, Bordeaux, 1787-1788, engraved at rim P.MALLANBIT, marked on outside below rim.


The sixth by Joseph Roger or Rogé, Rougé, Bordeaux, 1787-1788, engraved below the rim with monogram ST, marked on outside below rim.
