of the second size, the cup with a circular medallion inscribed UNION ET LIBERTE'. in mauve, above a blue shield reserving the three fleur-de-lys centered by a white star over a flaming heart, crossed arrows, and a quiver or fasces, between two branches of myrtle, surmounted by a white dove, the saucer with a pair of white doves on a bow, quiver and a flaming torch, reserved by a ground in imitation of striped fabric with gilt and blue stripes interspersed by myrtle garlands and pink flowers, gilt rims, the cup inscribed in mauve 'le 14 8.bre 1787/ la révolution de paris/ de puis s'est faite le 12 juillet/ jusqu'au 17 du di. de/ l'année 1789', incised numeral 13, indistinct incised marks, the saucer inscribed in mauve 'le 14 8.bre 1787/ le 6 8.bre 1789 le Roy, la Raine./ M.r et M.r le Dauphin. cc/ rendirendirent a Paris. accompagné/ des braves Pariesiens.'/, incised numeral 5
