The thick, robust case of the Masterpiece MP-02 Key of Time is crafted from pink gold and finished with a refined satin brushing. It houses a highly complex mechanical movement composed of 512 components, delivering an impressive five-day power reserve. At 6 o’clock, a vertical flying tourbillon is revealed through an aperture, showcasing the constant seconds in motion.
The multi-layered dial is enhanced by the functionality of two crowns positioned on either side of the case. The crown on the right allows for traditional time setting, while the crown on the left enables the modulation of time, allowing the wearer to slow down or accelerate the movement. Three indicators display the current speed setting, and the time can be readjusted by pulling the crown. This remarkable feature is made possible by a mechanical memory integrated within the movement.
The present example is offered in very good condition and is ideal for collectors who appreciate a timepiece with a bold and commanding presence on the wrist.
