The Royal Oak Offshore has evolved in numerous forms since its introduction, yet the present example stands out as one of the most striking. Produced in 1998 to commemorate the Winter Olympics in Japan, this Offshore model is powered by the manual-winding Caliber 2127, which features a triple calendar date function indicated via a central pointer hand.
The dial exhibits a classically balanced layout, showcasing Audemars Piguet’s signature Petite Tapisserie pattern, beautifully executed in a vivid and elegant blue. As a tribute to the ’98 Games, the watch was produced in an extremely limited edition of just 98 pieces, with the present lot numbered 77.
Housed in a 37mm case, these rare examples combine refined elegance with exceptional wearability, making them as comfortable on the wrist as they are visually captivating. A truly exceptional addition to any collection of fine timepieces.
