The Freak Phantom presents an ultramodern, minimalist, and unconventional design, distinguished by a dial that showcases its technologically advanced tourbillon carrousel, with no traditional crown or hands. The Freak was revolutionary, marking the first time a timepiece successfully incorporated escapement components made of silicium, a silicon-based material prized for its durability, lightweight properties, and resistance to magnetism, all contributing to enhanced precision and performance.
At the center of the dial, an unmistakable tourbillon carrousel performs a complete rotation every 60 minutes. Developed and manufactured entirely in-house, this mechanism is further enhanced by a seconds indication in the form of a flying tourbillon.
Despite its unconventional construction, the Freak Phantom remains highly user-friendly: it is wound via the lower bezel, while time-setting is accomplished by rotating the upper bezel. The present example is further accompanied by its dedicated winding tool, allowing for ease of use.
Presented in very good condition, this example is offered with a suite of accessories, including its presentation box and Certificate, representing an excellent opportunity to acquire an iconic model that has become a cornerstone of Ulysse Nardin’s innovation.
