Launched in 2016 and discontinued in 2023, the reference 116500LN represents a milestone in the evolution of the Daytona. It was the first stainless steel variant to incorporate a black Cerachrom ceramic bezel, an enhancement that improved scratch resistance while nodding to the vintage aesthetic of early 4-digit Daytonas with their black acrylic inserts.
Housed in stainless steel case and measuring 40mm, the watch maintains the Daytona’s signature proportions and offers a versatile, comfortable presence on the wrist. The polished center links of the Oyster bracelet, along with the polished lug hoods and crown guards, give the piece a subtle elegance, setting it apart from the more utilitarian feel of earlier references.
The self-winding mechanical chronograph calibre 4130 is entirely developed and manufactured in-house by Rolex. Its streamlined architecture uses significantly fewer components than a traditional chronograph movement, resulting in enhanced reliability and efficiency.
Coming directly from the family of the original owner, this example is offered in overall very good condition and complete with its original accessories.
