The Cartier Baignoire S is a striking expression of Cartier’s ability to transform a classic design into a sculptural work of haute joaillerie.
Rooted in the Baignoire lineage introduced in 1906, the present interpretation reimagines the form through an elongated “S”-shaped case in 18k pink gold, entirely set with brilliant-cut diamonds that follow its complex curves, creating a dynamic play of light. A curved sapphire crystal and diamond-set cabochon crown further enhance its fluid architecture.
The dial remains classically Cartier, with a silvered surface, exploded Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and a discreet hidden signature within the VII marker. It is powered by the manual-winding calibre 9770 and fitted with a tan alligator strap and matching diamond-set ardillon buckle.
Produced in extremely limited numbers, believed to be fewer than 150 pieces and offered only to select clients, the Baignoire S stands as a rare and highly collectible expression of Cartier’s creativity. The present example is accompanied by its presentation box and instruction manual.
