Produced in small quantities during the mid-century, Patek Philippe introduced the ladies’ reference 3006 to complement their offering of predominantly mens’ watches. However when doing so, they did not cut any corners at all, instead asserting themselves not just as the finest watchmakers in the world, but also as master jewellers.

Many different variations of the 3006 have been observed, with the defining feature of the reference being that they are “secret” watches, where the dial is hidden. The present example features a highly architectural yellow gold floral and botanical motif over the dial, further set with 43 rubies totalling approximately 4.46 carats and 6 diamonds totalling approximately 0.84 carats, adding further impact to this already impressive work of art.
