François-Paul Journe started his career as a clock restorer in France. Eventually, the skilled watchmaker established his own manufacture in 1999. His innovative approach to horology and keen sense of design have solidified Francois-Paul Journe's status as one of the most acclaimed independent watchmakers, making him the only one to have won the prestigious Aiguille d’Or prize three times.

Launched in 2004 and discontinued from F.P. Journe’s collection in 2015, the Octa Calendrier was a significant model as it features an important automatic calibre that offers an impressive 5-day power reserve. It was also F.P. Journe’s first watch to include the annual calendar function. F.P. Journe thoughtfully considered every aspect of the watch, including legibility. The modern asymmetrical dial positions all calendar functions on the left side, while the time display remains on the right.

Housed in platinum, this watch has been maintained in a used yet appealing condition and is available with its original presentation case.
