Designed by the legendary watchmaker Gerald Genta during the quartz crisis of the 1970s, the Nautilus has become one of the most recognizable luxury sport watches in the world. Produced from 1981 to 2006, the current reference 3800 pays homage to the larger reference 3700 'Jumbo,' while retaining the distinctive rounded octagonal bezel inspired by a maritime porthole.

Th present example combines nautical themes with intricate jewel-setting techniques, featuring a pavé-set diamond dial and case. The striking baguette-cut ruby hour indices beautifully complement the golden hands and the sparkling diamond-adorned dial. The yellow gold case evokes the bold visuals, glamour, and nostalgia of the 1970s and 1980s.
