The present reference 5980 contains immediately visible features which elevate it above standard production examples: bright red hands, scales and a red hour marker at 12 o’clock. Made in a series of four pieces, each with a different number highlighted in red and confirmed on the Certificate of Origin, nothing like this has ever been seen on the market. Of the set, the “Red Twelve” maintains the best visual symmetry and is sure to become a mythical piece in the zeitgeist of Patek Philippe collecting.
