The J.J.C. (Jean-Jacques Cartier) Tank model was introduced by Cartier London in 1951. This mini elongated version of the Tank J.J.C. was launched around 1966. An almost identical example, dating to 1974, is part of the Cartier Collection. Based on the original L.C. (Louis Cartier) model, the J.J.C. Tank is distinguished by its rounded brancards and slim crossbars. The cream dial of the present watch, featuring bold stretched Roman numerals, a script signature, and the absence of a minute track, is typical of the design aesthetic often favoured by Cartier London in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
