Introduced in 2000, the F.P. Journe Chronomètre à Résonance immediately attracted collectors worldwide with its distinctive twin dial design and revolutionary double balance wheel system. Housed in a classic 38 mm platinum case, this model from the early Brass Collection quickly achieved legendary status and remains one of the most desirable pieces in independent watchmaking.

Driven by a relentless pursuit of precision, F.P. Journe devoted over twenty years of research to the principle of resonance, creating the world’s first twin-movement wrist chronometer to use this phenomenon. Powered by the iconic calibre 1499, with two independent brass gear trains, the watch uses two harmoniously oscillating balance wheels to enhance stability and accuracy. Its symmetrical dual dials, small seconds and power reserve indicator sit on a hand-guilloché silvered dial, while the 12 o’clock crown allows independent time setting for two time zones. Embodying the “Invenit et Fecit” meaning “Invented and Made” philosophy, it remains a masterpiece admired by connoisseurs for its technical brilliance and understated elegance.
