This clip watch was produced for Cartier by Edmond Jaeger through their collaborative partnership in the European Watch and Clock Co. While Jaeger created a variety of clip watches for Cartier as the genre gained popularity during the late 1920s and 1930s, Cartier also collaborated with other watchmakers to retail clip watches. The style of this particular clip watch is distinctly Cartier, reflecting their recognisable aesthetic. Notably, its design can be compared to that of the Tank Basculante, introduced in 1932, which shares a similar design language in the shape of its case front and bezel, and in the layout of its dial.
