Dial: silvered dial signed Cartier with ribbed centre, Roman, baton and triangular hour indexes, squat dauphine hands

Calibre: 9¼’’’ calibre 122 LeCoultre movement signed European Watch and Clock Co. Inc., damascened Côtes de Genève decoration, lever escapement, 18 jewels, bi-metallic compensation balance with timing and poising screws, adjusted to temperatures and two positions, flat hairspring

Case: 9k yellow gold, ribbed body, polished rectangular base, flat polished bezel, notched winder to base

Case number: interior of case body, back of inner framework, and base hand stamped • 7673 •, London hallmarks and date letter ’s’ for 1953-54, [JC] Jean-Jacques Cartier punch mark

Size: 28.5 mm length x 19 mm width x 39 mm height

Accessories: Cartier Red Moroccan leather and gold tooled fitted presentation box

This elegant desk clock, with its case made entirely of 9k yellow gold, has similar height and styling to Cartier’s small prism clocks, the miniature versions of which Cartier first released in 1952.
