The chronograph is perhaps one of the most essential complications to be mastered by any brand. For the "Big Six", Günter Blümlein did not hold back and produced one of the finest chronograph wristwatches, both of Jaeger-LeCoultre and of the entire period.

The front dial, crafted out of solid silver, only displays the time and date, except for a subtle "run/stop" slider at 5 o'clock. The true beauty of the watch is revealed on the reverse side, where a semi-skeletonised chronograph display complete with retrograde minutes can be seen, along with the rest of the highly architectural and advanced Calibre 829 which was developed and used exclusively for the present reference.
