The case back is fitted with a commemorative medallion bearing relief portraits of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi and Queen Farah Pahlavi, together with Persian inscriptions and a date corresponding to October-November 1967.
Combining historical significance with the refined craftsmanship of Vacheron Constantin, the reference 7945 represents a rare surviving example of a state commission created for the Imperial Court of Iran during the final decades of the Pahlavi dynasty.
