At the heart of the 3945 is the Calibre 240 Q, an automatic movement that featured a perpetual calendar, a leap year indicator and lastly a moonphase complication. The watch comes in at a remarkable thickness of just 9 mm and case diameter of 36 mm, allowing the watch to wear effortlessly on anyone's wrist. One can argue that the present reference 3945 is a testament to the extent Patek Philippe went through during the quartz crisis in the name of haute horlogerie.
