The Patek Phillipe Reference 130 is no stranger to connoisseurs and collectors of the Swiss family-owned brand. Being the brand’s first serially produced chronograph, the reference holds a special place in the history of the most prestigious watchmaker in the world. Coming in at a case size of 33mm, the watch embodies the gentlemen’s aesthetic that was popular in the 1930s that seemingly never went out of style. As a result, the Reference 130 saw production for over 30 years to meet its high demand, however, in the name of excellence, the unyielding Swiss maison only produced around 1500 in its production run. To top it off, the Calibre 13-130 movement that fits inside the case is nothing but a marvel of technical engineering that embodies Patek Philipe’s pursuit of horological excellence.

This present example has handsomely oxidised over the years, which likely means that the case has been unpolished for years and perhaps decades. Furthermore, the watch comes fitted with a highly attractive two-tone dial with silvered seconds track, with all raised enamel still present and making this even more of a rare find within 130 production.
