Calibre: 6’’’ calibre 6 circular rear-wound movement signed Cartier, damascened Côtes de Genève decoration, lever escapement, 17 jewels, annular balance, flat hairspring, Incabloc shock absorber

Case: 18k white gold curved rectangular case, chamfered bezel, hooded lugs, the lower lugs integrating the deployant clasp’s closure, curved satin-finished case back, flat notched winder to case back, case back secured by four screws to case sides, case back exterior signed Cartier, Paris, L♥C 1847 1997, Mecanique, Made in France, and with Swiss assay marks for 18k gold, interior with Swiss assay marks

This limited edition 1997 model closely follows the original’s curved rectangular case – a form specifically designed to sit at an angle on the wrist. Its hooded cylindrical lugs, seamlessly built into the case structure, contribute to its sleek profile and echo the aerodynamic contours of automobiles from the golden age of motoring. This watch was part of a limited edition series of 150 watches only.
