Introduced in 2004, the F.P. Journe Octa Zodiaque was created as a special commemorative edition marking the conclusion of the manufacture's celebrated brass movement era. Produced in limited series of just 150 examples, each watch was housed in a platinum case paired with a striking multi-layered slate-grey dial that perfectly embodies the brand's unmistakable design language.

Drawing inspiration from traditional celestial charts, the Octa Zodiaque incorporates a highly unusual zodiac display. An outer zodiac scale advances daily through a mechanism linked to the large date system, indicating both the current month and corresponding zodiac sign at the 12 o'clock position. The sophisticated dial architecture further integrates F.P. Journe's signature double-aperture date display and power reserve indicator, balanced harmoniously by a subsidiary seconds register positioned at 5 o'clock.

With only approximately 2000 brass movements produced across all F.P. Journe references, the significance of the present model is enhanced by its exceptionally limited production and singular complication. Notably, the Zodiaque display was never revisited in any subsequent F.P. Journe collection, ensuring its unique place within the manufacture's history.
