Introduced in 2001, the Langematik Perpetual marked a significant milestone in the history of A. Lange & Söhne, representing the manufacture’s first perpetual calendar wristwatch and an important technical achievement in modern horology. Notably, it was the first mechanical wristwatch to combine a perpetual calendar complication with a large date display, a hallmark of the brand inspired by the five-minute clock of Dresden’s Semper Opera House. Celebrated for its exceptional legibility and ingenious engineering, the model seamlessly integrates a highly complex calendar mechanism while retaining the aesthetic balance and refinement that have become synonymous with the Saxon manufacture.

The present example, unveiled in 2019, is among the most desirable iterations of the reference, distinguished by its exclusive Honeygold case and limited production of just 100 pieces.
