Frelinghuysen Jr., Morristown, N.J., July 25, 1927.” George Griswold Frelinghuysen Jr., born on July 25, 1911, in Morristown, New Jersey, was a member of the Frelinghuysen family, a prominent American political dynasty with roots tracing back to their emigration from the Netherlands in the 1720s. The family’s rich heritage includes several notable figures, such as U.S. senators and public servants. George was the son of Peter H.B. Frelinghuysen and the grandson of George Griswold Frelinghuysen Sr.
