Apple-1 Motherboard, Apple Computer, Palo Alto, CA, 1976.
Component side labeled “Apple Computer 1,” underside with “01-0033” in security pen, board fully populated including with white MOS Technology 6502 microprocessor, labeled MCS 6502 / 1576, keyboard interface and connector, 8K RAM, 3 39D Sprague blue capacitors, expansion connector, cassette board connector, original Apple cassette interface board, labeled “Apple 1 Cassette Interface Copyright 1976;” overall approximately 15 x 9 x 2 ½ inches, on mounted to Baltic birch plinth. WITH: Custom Stancor power supply and vintage Datanetics keyboard integrated each mounted to separate Baltic birch plinths, vintage Hitachi VM-906AU monitor and Panasonic SlimLine cassette recorder.
AND WITH: Original Apple-1 Operation Manual; In-house copy of Apple Basic Manual; Apple-1 Cassette Interface Manual; Microchess manual; and various software on cassettes.
Purchased circa late 1976 at the 1514 University Avenue, Berkeley, California location of the Byte Shop by Harry Saddler and consigned by him; Apple Basic Manual copy with address stamp of Bill Fernandez (crossed through), Apple Computer’s first full-time employee and co-builder of the Cream Soda Computer with Steve Wozniak.
