Vega Sicilia, 'Valbuena No. 5' 2009  

Ribera del Duero 

In 2025, a wonderful, vibrant, black cherries nose, coming at you like a (very elegant!) train.  So Ribera del Duero.  Blackberries and liquorice 'en la boca', so full of glycerol and yet with a tremendously balanced tannic structure.  Finally, there is a stunning aroma of heather that also permeates the taste.  Qué maravilla!  Serena Sutcliffe, MW
