Description
Domaine de Chevalier Blanc 1983
Pessac-Léognan (Graves), Grand Cru Classé
u. 2vts, 2t/hs, 2h/ms, slightly scuffed labels, 2 import strip labels overlapping front label, slightly scuffed capsules, 1 corroded capsule partially revealing sunken cork, 1 raised cork
In 2026, a glorious nose of smoke, petrol and a certain waxiness, very much part of top Pessac-Léognan whites, especially of this epoch. I am passionate about this deeply original style of white wine. All silky-textured minerals and grapefruit on the palate, lingering long and memorably. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
