Pinot Noir 48%, Chardonnay 30%, Meunier 22%. In 2022, there is first the nutty bouquet that immediately shows the huge personality and character of this vintage chez Krug. On the palate, it is tremendous, luscious, almost sweet, ending on orange zests. The succulence is superb, with the heavy silk texture of 1985 at this level, a real patina. Opulence and golden raisins, originality and yet like coming home. So mouth-coating and majestic. One of the greats. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
