Description

Krug 1998

Levels above foil, scuffed and nicked labels, 2 with sticker adhered to capsules, 1 packed in individual coffret

From the start, this was the structured 'keeper', with its very low yield and high acidity, and they made the right decision in launching the 1989 before it. 50% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay, 18% Pinot Meunier and 21 crus. In 2016, that orange zest Krug nose, followed by a taste of walnuts and mint, round and still very youthful. Extraordinarily complete now. Superb with a risotto that had a twist of orange in it.
