Description
Côte Rôtie, La Mouline 1990
Guigal
Levels into the neck, heavily bin-soiled and damp-stained labels, 4 slightly torn labels, 5 torn labels, tissue paper adhered to bottles, 1 torn vintage neck label, 1 torn vintage neck label partially obscuring "19--" vintage, scuffed and heavily oxidized capsules
Really tawny, heathery, spicy nose. Cloves and aniseed which follow through on the palate. Meaty. Currants at the end, then cherries. So much glycerol. This will be one of the greats, but less appealing than the 1989 now. Utterly splendid wine. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
