Description

Parkers Heritage Collection 1st Edition 129.6 Proof 1996

Distilled in 1996, bottled in 2007, includes original neck tag & commemorative insert

The first release in the Parker's Heritage Collection features five batches of cask strength Kentucky Straight Bourbon bottled at varying proofs. Originally released as three batches with proofs of 122.6, 127.4, and 129.6, they sold out so quickly that Heaven Hill released a further two batches with proofs of 121.4 & 126.6.

By 2007 the master distiller Parker Beam was already a legend in the bourbon world, having shepherded Heaven Hill through some of the darkest days of the whiskey bust. To honor him, that year the distillery launched the Parker’s Heritage Collection. Each year, Parker Beam would craft a unique whiskey that explored his favorite flavor and mashbill profiles, while also demonstrating the vast array of flavor profiles Heaven Hill has to offer. The coveted first edition was released at a time when high-proof bourbon was still relatively rare.
