Rolex reintroduced the Milgauss in 2007 with the debut of reference 116400, responding to a renewed appreciation for technically driven watches distinguished by a bold aesthetic. This contemporary iteration injected a lively and slightly unconventional spirit into the collection. Its dial showcases a dynamic combination of white, orange, and green accents, highlighted by the model’s iconic lightning bolt-shaped seconds hand, a playful reference to its scientific heritage. Reference 116400 is further distinguished by its green-tinted sapphire crystal, known as glace verte (GV), which produces a subtle green halo effect around the dial.
